Community Fund

Give players a shared server goal they can fund together with in-game currency. Each contribution moves the community toward a configurable threshold; once the goal is reached, the fund resets, the next round starts, and optional completion commands fire on the game server.

What it does

  • Players run /fund <amount> to contribute their own currency toward the active goal.
  • /fundstatus shows the current total, target, progress percentage, and round count.
  • /fundhistory shows total completions and the last player who pushed the fund over the line.
  • Contributions can be globally broadcast so the server sees momentum build.
  • When the target is reached, the module broadcasts a configurable completion message.
  • Completion commands let staff unlock server-wide rewards, effects, events, or other game-server actions.
  • Overshoot carries into the next round instead of being discarded.

Verified dashboard chat flow

The main evidence is the Takaro dashboard chat for the Paper sandbox koji-paper-1. For this capture the game-server command prefix was temporarily set to ! so Mineflayer sends normal chat messages instead of Minecraft slash commands. On a normal server the same module commands use whatever command prefix the server has configured.
The screenshot shows the full player-facing fund flow:

This module was smoke-tested against the Takaro Minecraft Paper sandbox (koji-paper-1) with real Mineflayer players and live Takaro chat events. The run imported and installed the module, assigned the contribution/history permissions, granted test currency, sent the commands through real bot chat, and verified persisted variables after completion.

Dynamic CronJob Manager

Schedule recurring game server commands from Takaro without editing code. Use it for timed announcements, save commands, cleanup tasks, reward reminders, restarts, or any other server command that should run on a cron schedule.

How it works

Dynamic CronJob Manager has one built-in cronjob, cronJobGenerator. You configure the jobs you want in the module settings, then the generator creates the real scheduled Takaro cronjobs for the current game server. When you change the config later, the generator updates matching jobs and removes generated jobs that are no longer configured for that server.
Generated jobs are scoped to the game server where the module is installed, so the same module version can be used on multiple servers without one server deleting another server's schedules.

Configuration

Add rows to the Cronjobs list:
  • name: Optional label used in the generated cronjob name. Use names like daily rewards, restart warning, or nightly cleanup.
  • command: The game server command to run. Separate multiple commands with semicolons to run them as a sequence on the same schedule.
  • temporalValue: The cron expression, such as */10 * * * * for every ten minutes or 15 2 * * * for 02:15 every day.
For example, a row named daily rewards with say first reminder; say second reminder creates two generated cronjobs on the same schedule. A row named nightly cleanup with save-all can run once per night.
Dynamic cronjob config

Commands and generated cronjobs

Each generated cronjob executes exactly one command. If a config row contains multiple semicolon-separated commands, the module creates one generated cronjob per command and adds sequence suffixes such as seq1 and seq2 to the generated names.
The generated function checks the game server ID before sending the command, then runs the command through Takaro's game server command API. This keeps scheduled commands tied to the server that owns the config.

Managing changes

After editing, adding, or deleting rows in the config, let cronJobGenerator run again. It reconciles the generated jobs to match the current config:
  • New rows create generated cronjobs.
  • Changed rows update the generated cronjobs.
  • Deleted rows remove only this server's generated cronjobs.
  • Invalid cron config stops the generator before it changes generated jobs.
The dashboard cronjob/event views show the generator and generated scheduled jobs, which helps admins confirm what the module is managing.

This module was smoke-tested against the Takaro sandbox on the live Paper server koji-paper-1 using a real Mineflayer player, Bot1_BuffTester.
Because Paper cannot run the real 7 Days to Die buffplayer command, the test used a Minecraft-safe template: say [PlaytimeBuff] {playerName} received {buffName}. The module still exercised the important Takaro path: online player lookup, player-name hydration, command template rendering, game-server command execution, announcement sending, and Takaro currency grants.
Observed verification:
  • grant-playtime-rewards found Bot1_BuffTester online.
  • Buff reward path executed say [PlaytimeBuff] Bot1_BuffTester received WellFed with 200 OK from the game-server command API.
  • Announcement path broadcast Bot1_BuffTester got the WellFed buff reward.
  • Currency reward path called add-currency with 25 and emitted a currency-added event.
  • The cronjob result logged success: true and granted 1 reward(s) to 1 online player(s).
This means the Takaro integration is alive. Final acceptance for the real customer buff names should happen on a 7 Days to Die server with the relevant modded buffs installed.
